Weekend Solo Traveling – Bangkok Itinerary

Halo,

Sebenarnya trip saya ke Bangkok ini sudah sangat lama, bulan Juli 2012 tepatnya. Ini adalah pengalaman solo traveling saya yang pertama. It was a little thrilling, but i had so much fun. Setelah beberapa kali traveling (sendiri maupun beramai-ramai dengan teman), saya justru mendapatkan banyak teman traveller dari berbagai penjuru dunia saat saya sendiri. Ada satu kejadian lucu saat di kereta, saya jadi translator-nya orang Italia yang berusaha ngobrol pake Bahasa Inggris ke orang Amerika. Karena pelafalan orang Italia mirip-mirip dengan Indonesia, saya paham maksudnya dia, tapi teman saya, orang Amerika, tidak paham. Jadilah saya beralih profesi sebagai translator di sepanjang perjalanan dari Suvarnabhumi ke Bangkok. Banyak cerita lain, makan pad thai bareng ciwi-ciwi engineer kapal dari Korea, nimbrung ke meja makan pasangan Belanda karena takut sendirian, jalan-jalan sama anak Jerman yang bekerja di panti jompo di negaranya dan masih banyak lagi..😀

Kali ini, aku mau share itinerary 3 hari 2 malam Bangkok. Itinerary ini bagus kalau teman-teman suka wisata budaya, kuat jalan kaki dan mau mencoba transportasi lokal seperti khlong boat. Selamat traveling!🙂

 

Day 1, Friday

08:00 – 08:30 To Airport Terminal 2

09:45 – 13:10 Flight GA 0866 CGK – BKK

14:00 – 15:00 To Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel 204-206 Mahachai Rd. Samrannach, Phra-Nakorn, BKK

-Airport link Skytrain (at G floor at 45 THB/person), get off at last station (Phayathai)

– Take taxi to the hostel (around 80 THB, 20 mins)

15:00 – 16:00 Arrive at Hostel, Pay the room (720 THB), clean up, grab a glass of thai milk tea. (35 THB)

16:00 – 16:30 To Siam; Khlong Boat from Tha Saphan Phan Fah Lilat to Hua Chang Pier (10-20 THB)

16:30 – 20:00 Erawan Shrine, Thrimurthi Shrine, Siam Paragon, MBK

20:00 – 20:30 Back To Hostel

20:30 -21:00 Dinner Phat Thai at Thip Samai

 

Day 2, Saturday

06:30 – 07:30 Wake up and get ready

07:30 – 08:00 Take a breakfast on Hostel

08:00 – 15:00 Walking Tour

  • Golden Mount (10 THB)
  • Monk Bowl Village
  • Sao Ching-Cha (Giant Swing)
  • Marble sign
  • Wat Suthat (20 THB)
  • Wat Phra Kaew & Grand Palace (250 THB)
  • Lak Meuang (free)
  • Wat Pho (50 THB)
  • Rub Aroon (pineapple juice 60-90 THB)
  • Wat Arun (20 THB)

15:00 – 15:15 Back To Hostel (by tuktuk) 50 THB

15:15 – 16:30 Nap time

16:30 – 17:00 Get Ready

17:00 – 17:15 To Khao San Road

18:00 – 19:00 Thai massage at Pai Spa (156 Rambuttri Rd.) (350THB)

19:00 – 22:00 Wandering at Khao San Road

 

DAY 3, Sunday

06:00 – 07:30 Wake up, packing and get ready

08:00 – 08:30 Take a breakfast

08:30 – 09:00 To Jim Thompson’s House; 6 Soi Kasem San 2, Th Phra Ram I; 022167368 (9 am – 5 pm)

  • Khlong Boat from Tha Saphan Phan Fah Lilat to Hua Chang Pier (10-20 THB)

09:00 – 10:30  Jim Thompson House (100 THB)

take a short guided tour of the house and grounds, soak up the leafy-green ambiance, and browse the high-quality silk shop.

10:30 – 13:00 Wandering and Lunch at Siam, Pratukam Market, MBK

13:00 – 13:30 Back To Hostel

14:00 – 15:00 To Suvarnabhumi Airport

– Take taxi to the Payathai station (around 80 THB, 20 mins)

-Airport link Skytrain to Suvarnabhumi (45 THB/person)
